We just watched the richest man on earth give a Nazi salute at a Trump
rally.

Elon Musk also promoted a discussion on X with Germany’s far-right leader
— potentially in breach of EU law regarding tech platforms meddling with
elections.

The EU has launched an investigation into X which could result in massive
fines and even banning the platform. But officials and executives all over
the world are kneeling to Trump, and the EU could follow suit.

That’s where we come in.

Elon Musk’s fortune is enabling him to buy elections – pouring a quarter
of a billion USD into the Trump campaign and landing himself a senior
position in the White House overseeing spending decisions.

And it’s not just in the US. Elon Musk is meddling with UK and German
elections too, backing far-right leaders like Reform UK’s Nigel Farage and
the AfD’s Alice Weidel — even promoting the latter in a livestream chat on
X that brought in 200,000 viewers.

In 2023 the EU launched an investigation into X over the platform’s spread
of illegal content and information manipulation. Now Musk’s meddling in
elections is another element the EU will include in its investigation, and
EU experts have just said the platform could even be banned.

But the truth is, the Trump/Musk combo is immensely powerful, and even the
smallest comment from Trump could spook EU officials. Time will tell
whether the EU will capitulate to Trump — but we can’t sit back while our
democracies are on the line.

If we show EU lawmakers that people everywhere are demanding strong action
against Elon Musk, we can push them to stay strong and hold this dangerous
billionaire to account.
