*2. Earned Income Tax Credit resources available*

With Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Awareness Day coming up on Jan. 31, the IRS wants the tax community to know about resources that can assist with EITC claims. For example, you can use the EITC Assistant [ [link removed] ] to determine client eligibility, while the child-related tax benefits comparison [ [link removed] ] page outlines eligibility rules.
Even if taxpayers do not qualify for the EITC, they may be eligible for other credits or deductions. The Interactive Tax Assistant [ [link removed] ] can help determine eligibility for the Child Tax Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit or Credit for Other Dependents.

*3. ETAAC is accepting membership applications through Jan. 31*

The IRS is seeking qualified applicants for nomination to the Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee [ [link removed] ] (ETAAC), an organized public forum for discussion of issues in electronic tax administration, such as prevention of identity theft and refund fraud. New members will serve three-year terms beginning in September 2025. Applications [ [link removed] ] will be accepted through Jan. 31. *4. IRS Form 1120-H now available for electronic filing*
________________________________________________________________________
Taxpayers can now file Form 1120-H, U.S. Income Tax Return for Homeowners Associations, electronically. A homeowners association files Form 1120-H as its income tax return to exclude exempt function income from its gross income. Tax preparation software must include the option to file the form electronically. Taxpayers can still choose to submit a paper version.

The Nationwide Tax Forum Online offers tax professionals a convenient way to stay informed about current legislation, IRS procedures and key topics for the upcoming tax season.
Each seminar features a 50-minute interactive video presentation with synchronized slides, downloadable materials and complete transcripts. Courses can be taken for continuing education (CE) credit for a fee of $29, or they can be reviewed for free (no CE credit).
