John, Donald Trump made it his top priority on Day One of his presidency to pardon the criminals who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
These criminals who stormed our Capitol and beat the crap out of cops should be serving time, not being served pardons on Day One of Trump’s presidency.
Trump should never live this betrayal down. Patriotic Americans in places like Western PA who support our cops aren’t going to forget this. I won’t forget this.
Trump’s pardons are an affront to law and order and all of us who are committed to our Constitution. I swore an oath to our Constitution when I was 17 to defend our democracy, our freedoms, and our future, and it’s never been more important to continue that fight in Congress. Donald Trump has celebrated and honored the January 6th criminals who stormed the Capitol in his name, beating up cops and trying to overturn the election.
John, these are people who bludgeoned and beat the hell out of cops while participating in an insurrection to overthrow our government – and instead of condemning their violent betrayal of our country, Donald Trump has praised them and now delivered pardons for their crimes.
This is weak and pathetic crap.
I’ve spent so much of my life defending our democracy—first in uniform, and now in Congress.
Trump’s actions prove that the fight for our democracy is not only ongoing, but more urgent than ever. The stakes couldn’t be higher.
Our country is worth fighting for, worth defending. And if you’re ready to stand with me in this fight, I need your help today. Chip in to support this important work and ensure we hold the line for our democracy → [[link removed]]
