Dear friends,

It’s been an incredible, celebratory, worshipful, unifying week in Washington, DC with a host of Inaugural events for President Trump, along with our Republican National Committee (RNC) meeting. And other than being a wife and a mother, serving Mississippi as your RNC Committeewoman is the deepest honor of my life.

We celebrated President Trump and Vice President Vance’s historic win, as well as Republicans’ taking back control of the Senate and keeping the House. Listening to Trump outline his vision was so inspiring! On day one - from unleashing America’s energy to ending government censorship to declaring that there are only two genders in the country - he has already started to Make America Great Again. As President Trump stated—it’s the dawn of America’s Golden Age.

After four years of misery and insanity where Americans struggled to purchase everything from groceries to gasoline, where Americans were fired for refusing to take a vaccine, or where we were told we must accept men in women’s locker rooms, it is nice to see a return to sanity.

America is back!

At the RNC, we unanimously elected Michael Whatley from North Carolina to continue to serve as our Chair, KC Crosby from Kentucky to serve as our new Co-Chair, Joe Gruters from Florida as our new Treasurer, and Vicki Drummond from Alabama to continue as our Secretary—all SOUTHERN LEADERS! Chairman Whatley has led and will continue to lead our party with wisdom and resolve at this crucial time in our nation’s history.

The Rules Committee of the Republican National Committee elected our own Mississippi RNC Committeeman, Frank Bordeaux, by unanimous vote as the new Chairman of the RNC’s critical Rules Committee. He will do an outstanding job, and we are so proud of his work and selfless service. The MSGOP Chair, Mike Hurst, and Executive Director, Rance Bilbo have already distinguished themselves as respected leaders at the RNC.

Our Mississippi folks who were at the RNC meeting and those who heard back home were especially touched by the heartfelt recognition of and moment of silence for our dear friend and previous Mississippi Committeewoman, Jeanne Luckey, who passed away in August of last year. No one could ever fill her shoes, but I will do everything I can to honor her memory.

After those moving statements, I was overwhelmed by the warm welcome and unanimous confirmation by the RNC members of my membership as Mississippi’s Committeewoman, and especially the kind words of Chairman Whatley. You can watch that video here ([link removed]) .

We on the Southern Regional Committee elected John Wahl from AL to serve as the Chairman of the Southern Region. Chairman Wahl also recognized Jeanne’s service and her kind heart with a moment of silence in her honor at this meeting.

We heard from various leaders throughout the week, but it was especially encouraging to hear from Chairman Whatley and his Co-Chair, Laura Trump, the RNC leaders who helped orchestrate the solid 2024 election wins. We also talked about the important work before us to hold the Senate and House in the 2026 midterms—and that work has already started. We recognized and cheered for the RNC members who are moving on to various positions in the Trump Administration. We thanked God, and we prayed for His guidance, grace, and wisdom for us all.

My first RNC meeting could not have been more enjoyable, informative, and memorable. And the Inauguration and related events could not have been more hopeful, unifying, celebratory, and faith-friendly. I am leaving D.C. ecstatic about the work before us and the incredible honor of representing my home state on the RNC.

Mississippi, I will not let you down.
