Breaking news:

On his first day back in the White House, President Donald Trump decided
to attack U.S. citizens and trample over the Constitution by attempting to
end birthright citizenship — so I’m taking him to court.

birthright citizenship

Within hours, my office at the California Department of Justice filed a
lawsuit against the Trump administration for this unconstitutional and
un-American executive order.

Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right, and no matter what Trump
thinks, presidents cannot unilaterally amend the Constitution. He
overstepped his authority by a mile with this order, but we’re already
taking legal action to hold him accountable and prevent this massive
violation of U.S. citizens’ rights.
