This weekly digest is a method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. We send this announcement every week on Tuesdays.

* *Effective date:* Immediately
* *Summary:* DHS clarified CDCS policy as a result of 2024 legislation.

 

Upcoming survey about provider costs and wages for rate methodology evaluation [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, providers and other interested parties
* *Survey opens:* Jan. 27, 2025
* *Survey closes:* March 7, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS plans to conduct a survey that will allow providers to help inform the components and factors of the rate methodology for several services.

 

CFSS implementation updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive personal care assistance (PCA), Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates early in the transition.

 

MnCHOICES user access recertification [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agency staff and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS scheduled the annual MnCHOICES user access recertification for March 2025. Lead agencies will use the DHS Access Recertification System (ARS) to verify data privacy training and user access.

 

DHS to continue DWRS cost reporting and begin CFSS cost reporting [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* DWRS and CFSS agency-model providers
* *Summary:* In preparation for DWRS and CFSS cost reporting, DHS asks providers to update their authorized agent information in the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal.
