Hi Friend — between the end of 2024, Illinois' Lame Duck session, and the official session for this year kicking off, I've barely had time to reach out.

Now that I've got some time before we pick back up again in Springfield, I wanted to catch you up on all that you might've missed:

FIRST: I want to thank you. Because of folks like you across our community, my team and I were able to meet our End of Year Fundraising Goal before the deadline, starting 2025 off strong! Will you consider chipping in a celebratory donation to support our team's continued efforts to stay connected with our residents this year? >>

THEN: To build on the great end we had 2024, Illinois' Lame Duck session was anything but that — my measure to increase transparency regarding restrictive housing, or the use of solitary confinement, in our justice system passed out of the Senate, bringing us one step closer to a system that chooses rehabilitation over punishment.

NOW: With less than a week until Donald Trump begins his second term in the Oval Office, my colleagues and I in Illinois are continuing to focus on passing progressive legislation that directly combats MAGA extremists' attacks on our rights.

As we prepare for whatever lies ahead of us, I want to make sure I can keep in touch with folks across our community in-person and online. But that's only possible with the continued support of grassroots donors.

Friend, your support is key to maximizing our outreach efforts and sharing the work I'll be doing in the state Senate. And because we can't fundraise while in session, will you chip in any amount you can spare today?
CHIP IN TODAY
Thank you,
Sen. Robert Peters
