John,

BREAKING: Free Speech For People has launched a new campaign calling on Congress to launch an impeachment investigation against Donald Trump for offenses that have already occurred and that will continue in the days to come.

Trump’s return to the White House poses an unprecedented threat to our democracy. During his campaign and in the months before his inauguration, Trump engaged in unlawful, unconstitutional conduct and threatened more. He has once more positioned himself to abuse the office for personal profit and power in violation of clear constitutional commands and at the expense of our democratic institutions, constitutional precedent, and the safety of our country’s most vulnerable. It is critical that we remind ourselves what a healthy democracy requires to function, and not fall prey to the idea that the continued erosion of our democratic institutions and principles is inevitable.

Join the movement to uphold our Constitution and protect our republic. [[link removed]]

Trump must be held responsible for his impeachable offenses that have occurred or will be occurring in the days to come. These include violating the Emoluments Clause immediately upon his inauguration; threatening physical violence, including murder, against political opponents, journalists, and protestors; using racist, xenophobic rhetoric that has endangered immigrant communities; and violating campaign finance laws by offering benefits in exchange for campaign contributions. Further, Congress must be prepared to expand its investigation as necessary if Trump undertakes the numerous impeachable actions that he has threatened to carry out once he takes office.

Trump is not a monarch. He is beholden to the Constitution, as is Congress. And as the Founders understood, if we are to preserve our democracy for the people, then Congress has a duty to investigate and, if necessary, remove a corrupt executive.

Tell Congress: Impeach Trump. Again. [[link removed]]
