Friend,

Leadership matters. Every decision that shapes our rights, freedoms, and
daily lives starts with the public servants who represent us. And as we
face new challenges to justice and democracy, one thing is clear: we need
more leaders who are ready to fight for our communities.

That’s why we’re proud to be celebrating 20 years of the Young Elected
Officials (YEO) Network and the relaunch of the Front Line Leaders Academy
(FLLA) – two programs dedicated to training, supporting, and elevating the
next generation of diverse, progressive leaders.

The YEO Network, a program of People For the American Way Foundation, is
the first and only national initiative providing policy support,
leadership development, and networking opportunities for elected officials
under the age of 40. Since its founding in 2005, YEO has grown into a
network of more than 1,300 elected officials across all 50 states, the
District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands – changing the face of
American politics at every level.

But we’re not stopping there. With the relaunch of FLLA, we’re expanding
our efforts to train the next wave of changemakers – equipping young
people, particularly those from underrepresented communities, with the
tools they need to run campaigns, mobilize communities, and govern
effectively.

These programs don’t just prepare people to run for office – they help
build the critical leadership skills our democracy needs. Through
intensive training, mentorship, and a powerful national network, YEO and
FLLA are developing individuals with the skills to be the next generation
of mayors, legislators, campaign managers, and movement leaders – the
people who will fight for our democracy, protect our freedoms, and push
for progress.

Your support can help us continue this work. By contributing today, you’re
not just funding a program – you’re investing in the success of young
leaders for years to come. Your donation will help provide more training,
mentorship, and resources to equip young progressives with the tools they
need to lead boldly and effectively.

Strong leaders don’t just appear – they are trained, supported, and
empowered. That’s what YEO and FLLA do. And with your help, we can keep
these programs strong for years to come.

Thank you for being part of this movement.

. But know that if you leave, it will be harder for you to stay involved with People For the American Way and continue our
crucial work. PFAW is able to win policy battles and elections, and
counter the Right's extremism and hate, because of dedicated
activists like you, and we're always eager to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for your support.
