Meta is also donating $1M BBC: Boeing and Google each give $1m for Trump inauguration Axios: Apple CEO Tim Cook donates $1 million to Trump inaugurationFacebook, Ford, Intuit, Toyota, PhRMA, Goldman Sachs, General Motors, Bank of America, AT&T and Stanley Black & Decker pledged to no longer fund election deniers. But now, they’re bankrolling Trump’s inauguration. That’s the height of hypocrisy.

John, it’s clear what’s happening. During Trump’s first term, diplomats and business representatives patronized Mar-a-Lago and other Trump properties to earn credit with the president and call in favors. Now that Donald Trump is taking office again, corporations see donating to his inauguration as a way to get in his good graces and potentially earn favorable treatment down the line.
