My parents were a union lineman and an automobile wheel factory worker. I went on to study mechanical engineering in college and have held jobs from working on directed energy to serving as an AmeriCorps fellow and doing nonprofit work.

All of those jobs helped me become who I am today. Now, I have a job where I strive to help people live the best lives they can — from working to lower healthcare costs and strengthen our economy, to making sure the air we breathe and the lands we live on are protected for future generations.
