I became a U.S. Senator to deliver lasting results for folks in New Mexico and across the country. But I didn’t always know I’d end up here.

My parents were a union lineman and an automobile wheel factory worker. I went on to study mechanical engineering in college and have held jobs from working on directed energy to serving as an AmeriCorps fellow and doing nonprofit work.
