Hi John,
Our notoriously active team has been taking some time for renewal and rest, after a tremendously taxing election year. When we say our team left it all on the field, we mean it. We hope you have gotten some equally deserved rest, as well as lovely holidays with the people you care about. [[link removed]]
While we are devastated by many federal and state election results, we still celebrate many important wins. YOU — our incredible statewide network of 20,000+ volunteers and supporters — fuel our determination and solidarity. Together we knocked doors, made phone calls, and had thousands of critical conversations. Whether you participated, donated, shared information, or voted all the way down the ballot, you made a difference and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
* * Together we elected 60 of our endorsed school board candidates across Arizona — from large suburban districts facing MAGA takeovers to small rural districts that now have adamantly pro-public education teachers and parents representing their schools. Moms 4 Liberty candidates lost big across the state.
* We spread the word about the critical importance of local school funding measures, and voters passed 73% of local bonds and overrides statewide!
* We helped to defeat 6 propositions put on the ballot by Arizona’s extremist legislature, protecting voting rights, funding for public education, and citizens’ initiatives.
* Our efforts in legislative races resulted in new seat pickups and prevented a MAGA-run legislative supermajority — which would have cost us the Hobbs veto and ushered in a floodgate of bad legislation attacking students, teachers, and public schools.

In 2025, we will all need to join forces to fight back against a national and state agenda to privatize our public schools. There will be MANY ways to stay in the fight and actively help, so stay tuned. For now, you have our gratitude and we hope we’ll see you on Jan. 26th in Phoenix!
With thanks,
Team SOSAZ
