"White Christmas,” ([link removed]) an Irving Berlin song made famous by Bing Crosby, topped the Billboard charts in December 1943. American troops were still at war, dreaming of home. It would become the world's all-time top-selling and most widely recorded song.

As this tumultuous year draws to a close, the Living New Deal isn’t just “dreaming,” of a better world, we’re also working to make it happen. We’ve sparked a national conversation about how a new New Deal could provide millions of jobs, build affordable housing, develop parks and public spaces, modernize the nation’s aging infrastructure and extend a hand to those falling behind.
