"White Christmas,” an Irving Berlin song made famous by Bing Crosby, topped the Billboard charts in December 1943. American troops were still at war, dreaming of home. It would become the world's all-time top-selling and most widely recorded song. 

As this tumultuous year draws to a close, the Living New Deal isn’t just “dreaming,” of a better world, we’re also working to make it happen. We’ve sparked a national conversation about how a new New Deal could provide millions of jobs, build affordable housing, develop parks and public spaces, modernize the nation’s aging infrastructure and extend a hand to those falling behind.
