Yesterday, the U.S. Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes provisions that severely restrict access to trans-related healthcare for the transgender children of service members.

We are disappointed. This is the first piece of legislation containing expressly anti-LGBTQIA+ provisions to pass both houses of Congress in nearly 30 years.

To add insult to injury, nearly 40 lawmakers who we just named Trans Equality Champions did not stand up for trans youth in military families when it counted. [[link removed]]

If these elected officials thought that we would be too busy with the holidays to notice that they threw trans youth in military families under the bus, they are wrong .

A4TE will be watching them and holding them accountable.
