Yesterday, the U.S. Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes provisions that severely restrict access to trans-related healthcare for the transgender children of service members.
We are disappointed. This is the first piece of legislation containing expressly anti-LGBTQIA+ provisions to pass both houses of Congress in nearly 30 years.
If these elected officials thought that we would be too busy with the holidays to notice that they threw trans youth in military families under the bus, they are wrong.
