Thank a Teacher Day

*"A Message from City Council Leader, Cllr David Mellen:"*

Cllr David Mellen, leader of Nottingham City Council

Today is Thank a Teacher Day. On behalf of Nottingham City Council Id like to thank all of the teachers and support staff who have worked tirelessly for the last eight weeks, both in school and in delivering remote learning online and through workbooks, as well as our staff in nurseries and early years settings. Im proud of the way our city continues to respond to this crisis and we will continue to work closely with schools in the city to understand how we can continue to support them.

Id also like to thank and recognise the efforts of all the parents in Nottingham who have worked in partnership with their schools to ensure that education carries on over this period.

Watch the video to hear from Cllr Neghat Khan, Portfolio Holder for Early Years, Education and Employment, and children from Fernwood Primary and Nursery School as they celebrate local teachers on Thank a Teacher Day [ [link removed] ].

The NHSs Every Mind Matters: Children and Young People [ [link removed] ] pages have lots of advice and ideas to help us support our loved ones.
