In this email, I'm going to ask you to chip in $3 to support my campaign to be California’s next governor. Our race is heating up, so let me explain why your support is so urgent.

In exactly two weeks, we have our first major reporting deadline as this race becomes the next significant one of focus in the nation — an opportunity for every other campaign to see how we measure up and where we stand in the larger fight for California’s future.

A strong fundraising report shows that this is a sustainable campaign that will continue to gain momentum as we stand up for the working people of California.

We have accomplished so much together over the years – as a Member of the Board of Equalization and in my two terms as State Controller, our state’s Chief Financial Officer. Together, we showed what a competent, accountable government can do.
