Today, the American Immigration Council testified before Congress to relay a simple truth: conducting mass deportations targeted at over 13 million people would be devastating to our families and communities, the economy, and to the fabric of America itself.

Trump’s proposed mass deportation regime would cost at least $315 billion:
* $89.3 billion for conducting mass arrests

* $167.8 billion for detaining immigrants in large numbers

* $34.1 billion for processing legal cases

* $24.1 billion for removal operations
