This weekly digest is a method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. We send this announcement every week on Tuesdays.

* Reminder: Do not add or make changes to Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) service agreements Dec. 12-20, 2024 [ #MMIS ]

* Consumer directed community supports (CDCS) unbundling project implementation updates [ #CDCS ]

Reminder: Do not add or make changes to MMIS service agreements Dec. 12-20, 2024 [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies (counties and tribal nations), case managers, MMIS data entry staff and other interested parties
* *Effective dates:* Dec. 12-20, 2024
* *Summary:* Lead agency staff must not add or make changes to Alternative Care (AC), Brain Injury (BI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), Developmental Disabilities (DD), Elderly Waiver (EW), Essential Community Supports (ECS), CFSS and Consumer Support Grant (CSG) service agreements in MMIS from Dec. 12-20, 2024, or until DHS sends an all-clear eList to lead agencies.

 

Transition to permanent remote reviews by the lead agency review team [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, assessors, case managers, care coordinators and other interested parties
* *Effective date:* Immediately
* *Summary:* Effective immediately, the lead agency review team will conduct all reviews remotely.

 

CDCS unbundling project implementation and policy changes [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive CDCS services, their families, financial management services (FMS) providers, lead agencies, certified CDCS support planners and other interested parties
* *Effective date:* Feb. 1, 2025
* *Summary:* Effective Feb. 1, 2025, DHS will start the rolling implementation of the CDCS unbundling project.

 

Incentive bonuses available through the PCA College Service Corps program [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive services, college students and other interested parties
* *Summary:* The PCA College Service Corps program provides college students with an incentive bonus for providing PCA services.

 

CFSS resources for assessors and case managers to share with people who receive services and families [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, assessors, case managers, people who receive PCA or CSG services, families and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS created key messages and resources for assessors and case managers to use when they talk to people and families about CFSS, which began replacing PCA and CSG in Minnesota as of Oct. 1, 2024.
