It’s been another chaotic year of record-breaking climate-induced flooding and sweltering heatwaves. Heart breaking, isn’t it?

But 2025 offers us a lifeline. A High Court-ordered deadline means the UK government only has until 2 May to publish a new plan to curb greenhouse gas emissions. For the sake of millions of people already suffering from climate breakdown – and future generations – we desperately need to make sure it’s up to the task.

Today we’re launching the Big Give Christmas Challenge to raise £210,000 to power our campaign for bold government action. And for a fair climate plan to be published on 2 May – with the practical details needed to slash emissions and meet our looming targets in a way that benefits everyone.

Every pound you donate today will be doubled at no extra cost to you. Can you help us meet our target?

The High Court’s order means the government has only 5 months to write and deliver a bold and fair climate plan. Which means we have limited time to persuade them.

It’s doable – we know what the solutions are. Solutions that could see people living in warmer homes and taking up jobs in new green industries.

Produce hard-hitting research to demonstrate just how achievable bold solutions are. Rally even more passionate people like you to join our campaign and convince decision-makers to act. Mobilise our local action groups to apply pressure on MPs in their constituencies.Be prepared to consider legal action if the government’s new climate plan falls short.
