In any crisis, our concern extends to all those affected. But at UNFPA, we have a particular focus on the safety and wellbeing of women and girls — who are among the most vulnerable during times of crisis and whose needs are too often overlooked.

We have been on the frontlines across the globe, delivering lifesaving sexual and reproductive health care to those who need it most:

In Afghanistan, where we’ve deployed midwives to ensure safe births after the Taliban seized control and hospitals were forced to close or rendered non-functional.

In Sudan, where we’re delivering violence prevention and response services amid the world’s largest displacement crisis, which has heightened the risks for women and girls.

In Ukraine, where we’ve been helping women give birth safely ever since war broke out more than two years ago.
