** Be Informed: what is ICE, how do they operate, and what are your rights during an encounter with them?
------------------------------------------------------------
This is an updated version of IDP and the Lab’s 2023 workshop ([link removed]) , and will be focused on:
* How ICE operates
* How ICE collects information
* How to teach community members about their rights during encounters with ICE.
The training is informed by the work of Immigrant Defense Project ([link removed]) (IDP),Surveillance Resistance Lab ([link removed]) , and Make the Road New York ([link removed]) (MRNY), and aims to prepare advocates, organizers and allies to give Know Your Right information to clients and community members.
Registration ([link removed]) is required and space is limited. We anticipate we may reach zoom capacity and will plan to share a livestream link to registrants if that is the case.
Spanish interpretation will be available.
Please note that this training is not open to members of the media or press, to prosecutors, law enforcement officials, or employees of the Department of Homeland Security.
