Know Your Rights Trainings

Tuesday December 17, 2024

1pm-3pm ET

Webinar

Be Informed: what is ICE, how do they operate, and what are your rights during an encounter with them?

This is an updated version of IDP and the Lab’s 2023 workshop, and will be focused on:

  • How ICE operates

  • How ICE collects information

  • How to teach community members about their rights during encounters with ICE.

The training is informed by the work of Immigrant Defense Project (IDP), Surveillance Resistance Lab, and Make the Road New York (MRNY), and aims to prepare advocates, organizers and allies to give Know Your Right information to clients and community members.

Registration is required and space is limited.  We anticipate we may reach zoom capacity and will plan to share a livestream link to registrants if that is the case.

Spanish interpretation will be available.

Please note that this training is not open to members of the media or press, to prosecutors, law enforcement officials, or employees of the Department of Homeland Security.
