Well, that’s not me. I’m just a tiny seedling. It’s wonderful to look up and aspire to grow up to be one of the next towering old-growth redwoods. This is what makes Sonoma Coast Redwoods so special!
The age diversity (from young to ancient) of this forest means it’s set to FLOURISH in the decades to come. Plenty of people want to build private estates along the coast. I can’t blame them—it’s beautiful here! But development would be disastrous for the seedlings, trees, and wildlife that call this place home.
