** Leadership
------------------------------------------------------------

Greetings readers,

This week’s Leadership newsletter begins with NPQ’s recent and ongoing coverage of HR 9495 ([link removed]) , a bill that, if enacted, would allow a presidentially-appointed US treasury secretary to strip any nonprofit of its status if unilaterally deemed to be a “terrorism-supporting” organization. Last week, this bill passed the House of Representatives in a vote largely, though not entirely, along party lines—with (most) Republicans supporting and (most) Democrats opposing. Next, we take a look at a recent piece by Jas Wade of progressive donor network Solidaire, on safeguarding movements and vulnerable groups ([link removed]) in our social justice work. Then, our own Steve Dubb interviews activist and civil rights leader Marshall Ganz on how to build a culture of organizing
([link removed]) . Finally, we invite you to attend our upcoming webinar, “Moving from Tension to Transformation: Approaching Organizational Conflict with a Systems Change and Embodiment Lens ([link removed]) ,” on December 5.

As always, the Leadership desk loves to hear from you and we’re always looking for pitches and article ideas. Email [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) —and/or find me on Bluesky at @isaiahthompson.bsky.social ([link removed]) .

Best regards,
Isaiah Thompson, Leadership Editor, NPQ

Moving from Tension to Transformation: Approaching Organizational Conflict with a Systems Change and Embodiment Lens ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

This interactive webinar explores organizational conflict through systems change and embodiment approaches. You will learn a set of frameworks, practices, and skills that help organizations shift away from individual, team, and system-level tensions that distract from and impede meaningful work. This includes building stronger relationships, increasing organizational cohesion, and aligning organizational functioning with mission, vision, and values. This session is ideal for leaders and consultants grappling with tensions, conflicts, internal ruptures, and/or implosions impeding organizational and movement work. Join us December 5 at 2:00 pm ET.
