** Local Investing, Reimagined
------------------------------------------------------------

Local non-profits know deeply what their communities need, but most funding barely covers keeping their heads above water to provide existing services - let alone cover the space and time to innovate around what's next or solve more complex challenges. Black and Brown-led nonprofits also receive 34% less funding ([link removed]) than white-led groups. With support from the Deloitte Health Equity Institute (DHEI) and Collaborosity, Health Leads redesigned local investing with the Makers Residency. Over 10 weeks, five visionary community leaders received coaching, funding, technical assistance and peer support to innovate and drive forward a new wave of local, sustainable change.

** Grateful for Your Support This Giving Season and Always
------------------------------------------------------------
Community-led racial equity efforts that not only fill immediate resource gaps in local areas but remove systemic barriers to health are more critical than ever. As we approach the season of gratitude and giving, we hope you will consider supporting our efforts to enable health, well-being and dignity - in the face of a challenging political climate. Whether we are working to advance food security, maternal health or primary care, every dollar goes a long way to our national and local efforts to protect community led racial health equity.
