Dear friend,

I’m so thrilled to get in touch with you today as the presumptive next Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus!

Black Americans overwhelmingly voted against the MAGA agenda, and the Congressional Black Caucus will be a sharp voice of justice and resistance in the second MAGA administration. I’m looking forward to leading my colleagues in defending against attacks on our rights and freedoms as we approach a challenging era in our nation’s history that will push us to new strengths in the face of right-wing extremism and authoritarianism. If you are able, you can power this ongoing work with a donation. [[link removed]]

The Congressional Black Caucus has historically been the conscience of Congress. Under my leadership, you have my word that it will continue to be at the forefront of fighting for a more just future. This dedication is a commemoration of the Black leaders who came before me and a promise to the ones who will come after.

The policies that are of priority for Black Americans uplift all Americans. As the next chair, it is my duty to lift others up by ensuring equitable access to education, a clean environment, and economic opportunities. I’m ready to lead this resistance but I need to know that you have my back. Can I count on you to make a donation today to strengthen the fight against the second MAGA administration?
