Welcome to the latest New Pennsylvania Project newsletter!

While the presidential, several statewide and congressional results were not exactly what we hoped for, we are proud of the work that we have accomplished together.

We are excited to see Speaker Joanna McClinton retain the gavel and State Senator-elect Patty Kim elevated in Dauphin County to name a few.


Our work is far from finished. In 2025, PA will elect judges and justices in partisan elections and participate in nonpartisan judicial retention elections, including three PA Supreme Court seats.
We need to make sure that our communities do not lose hope, and turnout in 2025 for our local, municipal and judicial elections. An independent and fair judiciary is needed now more than ever before in the Commonwealth.


It’s critical that we remain vigilant and work together to protect the future of our democracy.

The Thanksgiving holidays might be at the top of mind during November for most people, but we want to take this time to amplify the voices and stories of the original inhabitants of the United States and their descendants.
According to the U.S. Census and the PA Department of State, 52% of Indigenous people in Pennsylvania are not registered to vote or are at risk of being dropped from the voter rolls.Do you know who originally inhabited the land you now occupy?

According to IWPR, Native American women are not expected to reach pay equity with white men until 2144.

Pennsylvania Undated and Wrongly Dated Mail-in Ballots Challenge (RNC) ([link removed]
“The Republican petitioners claim that some counties — including Bucks County, Centre County and Philadelphia — chose to count undated or wrongly dated mail-in ballots in the November 2024 general election. They argue this violates the state Supreme Court’s orders in two related ([link removed] ([link removed] which prohibited the counting of undated or wrongly dated mail-in ballots in the November election.”

Republicans Try to Block Counting of Undated Ballots in Pennsylvania ([link removed]
“On Thursday, the RNC and McCormick filed ([link removed] a lawsuit in Centre County, challenging ([link removed] the Centre County Board of Elections’ decision to count three mail-in ballots submitted with undated or wrongly dated outer envelopes in the general election.
