RESTORING FULL SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS TO TEACHERS, POLICE OFFICERS, AND FIREFIGHTERS This week, I voted for the Social Security Fairness Act to repeal outdated rules that have long prevented Iowa’s teachers, police officers, firefighters, and other public servants from receiving the full Social Security benefits that they worked so hard for and deserve. I will always protect Social Security and Medicare for our seniors! Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for the Social Security Fairness Act that would repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO) to ensure that public servants like teachers, police officers, and firefighters receive the full Social Security benefits that they have earned.
