** ConservAmerica Statement on Republican Control of Congress
------------------------------------------------------------
November 14, 2024
Washington, DC – ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer released the following statement today as the Republicans officially secured the majority in the U.S House, giving the party control of both chambers of Congress:
“The American people have spoken, placing their trust and confidence in the Republican party’s vision for our nation’s future. We congratulate President-elect Trump, Vice President-elect Vance, Senate Republicans, and House Republicans on their victories and commend them on their commitment to strengthening our economy, reducing the regulatory burden, and enhancing our energy security. We look forward to working with the new administration to advance our goal of durable market-based solutions to today’s environmental, conservation and energy challenges.
“Additionally, I’d like to congratulate Roosevelt Conservation Caucus members Sen. Shelley Moore-Capito ([link removed]) (R-WV) and Sen. John. Barrasso ([link removed]) (R-WY) on their new leadership roles. Both have been recipients of our Congressional Champions Award for their commitment to advocating for innovative and commonsense environmental, energy, and conservation policies. They have shown true leadership, and we look forward to working with each of them in their new capacities.”
The Roosevelt Conservation Caucus ([link removed]) is a bicameral group dedicated to applying right-of-center solutions to a litany of challenges, including clean air and water, next-generation affordable and lower-emission energy sources, wildlife conservation, and access to public lands and waters.
