* *Submission deadline:* 4 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2024
* *Summary:* DHS is accepting applications from 501c3 and other non-profit social service organizations for grants to improve access to home and community-based services (HCBS) for Medicaid-eligible people in rural and underserved racial, cultural and ethnic communities.

 

DHS requests feedback on EVV simplification for live-in caregivers [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive services, families, caregivers, providers, community advocates, financial management services (FMS) providers, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) members and other interested parties
* *Input period ends:* Dec. 30, 2024
* *Summary:* DHS requests feedback on barriers and potential solutions to simplify EVV compliance for live-in caregivers in Minnesota.

 

Rate and budget changes on Jan. 1, 2025 [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, case managers, care coordinators and other interested parties
* *Effective date:* Jan. 1, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS will implement increases to select service rates and monthly budgets.

 

CFSS implementation updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive personal care assistance (PCA), Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates early in the transition.

Training announcement: EW Foundations 2: Assessment, Support Planning and Rates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who work with HCBS for older adults (e.g., care coordinators, case managers, assessors) and other interested parties
* *Summary:* EW Foundations 2: Assessment, Support Planning and Rates, a 45-minute, self-paced online course that introduces EW assessment, support planning and rates, is now available.
