Message from your local Wollaton West ward Councillors

We hope this email finds you and your families well.

As your local ward Councillors we wish to let you know that you are not alone in this crisis and that your City Council continues to work hard to help those who need it most.

In Wollaton West we have been liaising with council officers to keep up to date with the latest information and continuing to support residents.

Our ward has some very resourceful residents and groups who are willing to go the extra mile, picking up shopping and prescriptions for those unable to leave the house.

Local businesses across the ward have offered support, for example on Bramcote Lane *Coates* (butcher) and *Sharpes* (fruit and vegetables) are offering deliveries and the *Cheesecake Shop* is selling takeaway hot drinks. Nottingham City Council has provided small businesses with 40m of support.

There have also been orderly queues for the Post Office and supermarkets its great to see so many of us adapting to the new normal so quickly. We would like to thank every single one of you for your help and support, whether youve opened up your business, volunteered in any way or stayed at home.

We are pleased to have been able to keep Wollaton Park open, and we are also lucky enough to have the two nature reserves, all of which are looking beautiful at this time of year (so no excuses for not exercising!) Hopefully, those of us who are having to shield will be able to get out and about again very soon.

Do please get in touch with us if you have any queries (our details are at the bottom of this email) it doesnt have to be related to Covid-19 we are still here for you!

"Cllr Steve Battlemuch, Cllr Zafran Khan and Cllr Cate Woodward"

Thank you to our NHS and all key workers
