Together, we’ve changed the way we talk about gun violence in the US.
We’ve made huge strides in federal and state legislation. Even still, we
have a lot of work left to do. 

Every week we’re bombarded with news of another mass shooting. It seems
like an endless onslaught. It’s not lost on me how discouraging this can
feel. But believe me, we’re making progress. 

We’re chipping away at the power of the gun lobby, and they’re getting
weaker because of the power of this movement. Young people have fought
like hell to fight back against the NRA. And John — it’s
working.

In the past four years we’ve achieved a lot, including: 

* Helped pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act — the most
significant piece of federal gun safety legislation in 30 years.
* Mobilized students across Tennessee, North Carolina, Michigan,
Georgia, and more in the aftermath of shootings at their schools.
* Won the first gun safety package in Michigan in 40 years, including
safe storage, universal background checks, and extreme risk protection
orders.
* Secured a White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
* Turned out record numbers of young voters for the third election cycle
in a row, leading to the election of gun safety champions up and down
the ballot in the 2022 midterms.
* Authored or signed onto 30+ amicus briefs in the courts to defend our
right not to be shot.
* Partnered with other gun violence prevention organizations to send
140,000+ calls from victims of gun violence to congress.
* Sent the NRA packing and took down their corrupt CEO Wayne LaPierre.

I’m inspired by all that we can achieve when we work together. Whether
you’ve been with March For Our Lives from the start, or today is your
first day in our movement, thank you. 

But here’s the thing, the far-right wants to not only halt but reverse our
progress. There’s A LOT on the line and we cannot back down now. We need
