John, this is a particularly difficult moment for the world’s children. Ongoing conflicts, hunger, poverty and climate disasters around the world are putting countless children’s lives and futures in danger.


In Gaza, 85% of the population has been displaced after over a year of constant violence, aid restrictions and utter chaos. In Haiti, armed groups have taken control of the country, and nearly 60% of families are living below the poverty line. Meanwhile, Sudan has become the world’s largest humanitarian crisis – as ongoing conflict disrupts crop production, 9 million children are facing severe food shortages.


And right here in the United States, children and communities are facing a long road to recovery after Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton caused massive destruction in the last five weeks.
