John, this is a particularly difficult moment for the world’s children. Ongoing conflicts, hunger, poverty and climate disasters around the world are putting countless children’s lives and futures in danger.
In Gaza, 85% of the population has been displaced after over a year of constant violence, aid restrictions and utter chaos. In Haiti, armed groups have taken control of the country, and nearly 60% of families are living below the poverty line. Meanwhile, Sudan has become the world’s largest humanitarian crisis – as ongoing conflict disrupts crop production, 9 million children are facing severe food shortages.
And right here in the United States, children and communities are facing a long road to recovery after Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton caused massive destruction in the last five weeks.
People like you have consistently shown up for children in moments of crisis, providing us with the critical funds we need to provide lifesaving resources and care across the globe. And with so much work still left to be done, we’re hoping you’ll be one of the 500 child advocates we need to sign our pledge for the world’s children.
