Joe Manchin just won’t quit. Even after announcing his retirement, he’s still pushing to pass his dirty deal as a final love letter to his friends in Big Oil & Gas.

Manchin’s dirty deal would be a disaster. It would fast-track pipelines and fracked gas export facilities, and promote more oil and gas drilling on our public lands and waters. We have to speak out and stop this pro-polluter legislation.

Tell Congress to oppose Manchin’s dirty pipeline deal!

Joe Manchin and a few other senators are pushing this deal by saying it will help clean energy. But in reality, Manchin’s bill has at least 5 major policies that come straight out of Project 2025, the extreme far-right policy plan for a potential Trump administration. This plan was written by and for billionaires and Big Oil, so it makes sense that Manchin is going along with it.

Stop Manchin's Dirty Deal

In addition to fast-tracking dangerous fossil fuel projects, Manchin’s bill would limit the ability of federal agencies to review major energy projects, limit the information that is available about these projects to the public, and reduce opportunities for people like you and me to have input.*

This comes straight from Big Oil’s wish list. We know that because they’ve been lobbying specifically to pass this bill: the American Petroleum Institute spent $1.5 million on lobbying just in the last three months, and listed Manchin’s bill as one of their top priorities.

We need Congress to stand up to Big Oil and oppose Manchin’s dirty deal!

Manchin has been trying to pass this bad bill since 2022. We stopped most of his terrible proposals back then, thanks to a huge outcry from people like you and our grassroots partners across the country. But Manchin and his Big Oil billionaire friends are still trying to push through their polluting agenda. They want to make as much money as possible, even if it means poisoning our water and wrecking the climate.

Food & Water Watch is working with hundreds of grassroots groups across the country to oppose this bill. We’ll need to keep up the fight even after the election, so it’s important that your members of Congress hear from you now. The more people speak out, the better chance we have to stop Manchin’s dirty deal.
