The right to clean water and clean air is essential for happy, healthy, and safe communities. As Michiganders who have seen the terrible impacts of a water crisis on our neighbors in Flint, we know we can't take that right for granted.

That's why we won't let our freedom to live in a clean environment be snatched away by politicians who serve corporate interests over the well-being of our community. This election, Republicans are designing their policy platforms off the Project 2025 playbook, which aims to gut the Environmental Protection Agency [[link removed]]. This would significantly weaken all federal safeguards for our air and water, leaving the responsibility of these protections to state legislatures like ours.

I'm so proud of the significant progress we've already made on the environment during my time in Lansing:

⚡️ We passed the Clean Energy & Climate Action Package which will bring Michigan's clean energy production to 100% by the year 2040 ⚡️

🏡 We removed homeowner’s association (HOA) restrictions and allowed Michiganders to install or upgrade energy-efficient appliances in their home and on their property, including solar panels, electric vehicle charging equipment, energy efficient windows, and more 🏡

🚗 We designated high-occupancy vehicle lanes which reduce traffic congestion during rush hours and reduce the number of hours vehicles spend idling in bumper-to-bumper traffic 🚗

We won't rest on our laurels, but these accomplishments prove that together, we can protect Michigan's environment. Will you join our movement? [[link removed]]
