Our opponent just bought 500 points against us on TV - that’s how we track how many times the ads will be seen by voters. It’s a big buy - basically, any time a persuadable voter turns on their TV they will see this attack ad against Josh.

Our strategy has always been to match our opponent dollar for dollar in TV spending to make sure voters see our ads just as much as they see his. But with our opponent’s new ad, we have to put in even more money to keep pace.

Stick with me here - we’re moving into some math. We’re in the Sacramento media market, one of the most expensive places to run ads in the entire country. It costs $700 to earn 1 point on TV (or $350,000 for 500 points).
