Two weeks ago, Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato presented the County Council with her proposed 2025 budget, which includes a property tax increase. After some councilors called the proposal “dead on arrival,” Innamorato challenged them to present alternatives ([link removed]) .
Also, the county gave an update on its plans for winter homeless shelters ([link removed]) , which includes reopening Second Avenue Commons after a summer fire closed it for months.
