systemically underfunded. On average, Black women like Summer raise only
ONE-THIRD of what their white counterparts do. That’s not just a
statistic; it’s a barrier. It means fewer resources to reach voters, less
visibility, and less power to fight back against well-funded attacks from
the other side.
And the stakes are high. Wealthy Republican donors are pouring money into
races all across our state, and we have to fight back!
But Summer never backs down—because backing down would be giving up on the
people who need her. Backing down would mean letting them silence yet
another voice that fights for justice. Backing down would mean giving
power to the corporate interests that want to buy their way into
Washington. Backing down would mean turning away from the communities
she’s committed her life to. Summer won’t do it—she never has, and she
never will.
