Qualifying small businesses can apply for low-interest loans thanks to a new program Katie signed into law allocating $5 million to support microbusinesses. While in Tucson, Katie visited the Earnest House, a local business that benefited from one of these loans.

Katie reaffirmed Arizona’s commitment to fighting wildfires and protecting our natural environment by signing a new agreement to increase cooperation between the state Department of Forestry and Fire Management and the US Forest Service.

At a recent event held by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Katie highlighted that our state is home to over 100,000 Hispanic-owned small businesses. She also shared that since relaunching the Greater Arizona Economic Authority, $5 million has been devoted to support microbusinesses across the state.

Tucson Sentinel: American Red Cross launches initiative to bring in Latino blood donors tied to Hispanic Heritage Month [[link removed]]

Nearly 60% of Latinos have Type O blood, which is vital for blood donations. This is because Type O positive is the most common blood type and Type O negative can be universally donated. That’s why during Hispanic Heritage Month, Katie encouraged Arizonans, especially Latino Arizonans, to give blood to support their community with an invaluable contribution.READ MORE [[link removed]]
