I have great news! Although the so-called

Equal Rights Amendment

passed the Minnesota House over the weekend, it was NOT taken up by the Minnesota Senate before the deadline (midnight last night). Remember, the ERA is a bill that would put an amendment on your ballot to add abortion up until birth and gender ideology to our state Constitution while posing new threats for religious freedom.

Now I'm thrilled to announce that unless the Governor calls a special session, the bill is dead for this year!

I’m happy to report that the same is true for the gambling expansion bill. These are two bills we lobbied hard against, building relationships with members on both sides of the aisle, and I’m so thankful and proud of our policy team,

Although progressives declared the ERA to be one of their top priorities, disagreements about the language of the bill and determined opposition from faith groups like ours helped kill the bill - including our rally with Minnesota Catholic Conference a few weeks ago where more than 500 Minnesotans gathered at the Capitol to show their opposition!

Please pray with us that there would be no special session on the ERA and that, by taking back the Minnesota House this fall with a pro-life, pro-family majority, we can keep this proposal, which threatens the values so many Minnesotans hold, from being considered in future years.
