World Sight Day is just two days away!

It’s one of the most important days in the eye care community – when organizations like Orbis bring awareness to vision impairment and blindness both nationally and globally. But did you know that many eye conditions can be resolved with a simple pair of glasses?

Glasses are nothing short of a miracle. For many of us in the United States, they are such a normal part of life that we don’t think of glasses as essential eye care. Invented in the 13th century, they have long improved our vision so we can lead happier and more productive lives. But in many parts of the world, billions still live with some form of avoidable or treatable vision loss—and don’t have access to glasses or the eye screenings needed to get them.

At Orbis, we’re dedicated to ensuring no one goes needlessly blind—especially when it can be solved with a simple pair of glasses.
