State Patrol swearing-in to impact Capitol parking, tours on Oct. 10

*WHAT*: Washington State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer graduation and swearing-in ceremony, with speeches by Gov. Jay Inslee and State Patrol Chief John Batiste. Organizers expect 500 participants.

*WHEN*: Thursday, Oct. 10, 10-11 a.m. Setup begins at 7:30 a.m.

*WHERE*:


* Legislative Building, third- and fourth-floor mezzanines.
* Parking stalls along the North Diagonal. 

*IMPACTS*:


* DES will suspend public tours of the Legislative Building from 10-11 a.m.
* Parking stalls on the North Diagonal will close.
* Expect an increase in pedestrian traffic.
