WHAT: Washington State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer graduation and swearing-in ceremony, with speeches by Gov. Jay Inslee and State Patrol Chief John Batiste. Organizers expect 500 participants.
WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 10, 10-11 a.m. Setup begins at 7:30 a.m.
WHERE:
- Legislative Building, third- and fourth-floor mezzanines.
- Parking stalls along the North Diagonal.
IMPACTS:
- DES will suspend public tours of the Legislative Building from 10-11 a.m.
- Parking stalls on the North Diagonal will close.
- Expect an increase in pedestrian traffic.

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) stewards the Washington State Capitol Campus, an internationally accredited arboretum. The 403‐acre campus includes five parks, 18 monuments and works of art, and the 260-acre Capitol Lake, which is being restored to an estuary.
