The American Gambling Awards, produced by Gambling.com Group Limited (Nasdaq: GAMB) ("Gambling.com Group" or the "Group"), honor the top companies and executives shaping the regulated U.S. online gambling landscape and are recognized as a benchmark for excellence in the sector.

“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from the American Gambling Awards,” *MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams* said. “This achievement reflects not just my efforts, but the collective dedication of the entire Michigan Gaming Control Board. Under Williams' leadership, the MGCB has spearheaded some of the most ambitious state-level efforts to combat the spread of unregulated gambling in Michigan. The Board has taken a strong stance against unregulated skill games, social and sweepstakes casinos, and offshore-based operators, employing strategies that include issuing cease-and-desist letters and working closely with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office on enforcement efforts, including pursuing litigation and initiating criminal prosecutions against violators.

“We are thrilled to recognize Henry Williams as the 2024 American Gambling Awards Regulator of the Year,” said Gambling.com Group co-founder & Chief Executive Officer, Charles Gillespie. “Under Henry’s leadership, the Michigan Gaming Control Board has set a gold standard for regulatory excellence, creating a safe, transparent, and thriving market. Henry's proactive approach to combating illegal gambling—from issuing cease-and-desist letters to pursuing criminal prosecutions—is the example we need to continue reclaiming this industry back from offshore operators.”

Michigan’s gaming landscape is robust, featuring tribal casinos, commercial casinos in Detroit, and a thriving online sports betting and iGaming market. The MGCB's aggressive regulatory oversight protects consumers from illegal gambling while ensuring a safe, responsible, and regulated environment for all stakeholders. This proactive approach benefits consumers, responsible gambling advocates, and the industry as a whole.
