Michigan Gaming Control Board's Henry Williams is the 2024 American Gambling Awards Regulator of the Year

DETROIT, Oct. 7, 2024 — The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) is proud to announce that Executive Director Henry Williams has been named Regulator of the Year for the 2024 American Gambling Awards.

The American Gambling Awards, produced by Gambling.com Group Limited (Nasdaq: GAMB) ("Gambling.com Group" or the "Group"), honor the top companies and executives shaping the regulated U.S. online gambling landscape and are recognized as a benchmark for excellence in the sector.

Under Williams' leadership, the MGCB has spearheaded some of the most ambitious state-level efforts to combat the spread of unregulated gambling in Michigan. The Board has taken a strong stance against unregulated skill games, social and sweepstakes casinos, and offshore-based operators, employing strategies that include issuing cease-and-desist letters and working closely with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office on enforcement efforts, including pursuing litigation and initiating criminal prosecutions against violators.
