Friend,

As the sun sets this evening, Jews across the country will gather in community to mark the transition into holy time. Our tradition tells us that tonight, something extraordinary will happen: the gates will open, and we will be called to take stock of the past year, both individually and collectively.

With my family, I will take this time to pause, reflect on my shortcomings, and dig into what it takes to build a better and brighter future for Jews and for all of us. Together, our Jewish justice movement will recommit to building Olam HaBa, the world to come, in 5785 and beyond.

I’m grateful for you, Friend, and wish you and your loved ones a sweet year, a blessed year, and a year filled with justice and peace.

Shana tova,

Rabbi Jason Kimelman-Block
Washington Director, Bend the Arc

PS: Our first task in 5785 will be to lock in a win for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and defeat Trump, Vance, and their MAGA movement once and for all. We have just 4 weeks left until Election Day and a win is in sight. But it will take all of us. Can you make a Rosh Hashanah gift before tonight to power our Jewish movement to elect Harris/Walz and defeat Trump/Vance? <[link removed]>

Help power our movement forward

We're rising up alongside all who are impacted by antisemitism, anti-Black racism, and white supremacy to fight for the joyful future we deserve — a future where Black liberation is realized and where all of us are safe and thriving, no matter what we look like or where we come from.
